The key platforms will be social media due to the teenage target audience and therefore these will be utilized the most
Billboards are more traditional but making them interactive or using a movie image billboard is likely to capture the audience's attention
Legal/ ethical considerations:
Legal: Copyright, filming consent, song rights, appropriate content/ language
Ethical: accurate representation of communities
JUNE 2018- 'From My Box'
Planning a response:
'From the box'- the client
4-8-year-olds- the target audience
the Worchester city council and Worchester water- the sponsors
Main channels:
'The Box' has its own YouTube channel which it can use to promote the web series
Kids TV channels such as CBBC can have ads promoting the series
Facebook pages/ groups
Digital billboards
Competition based on the characters on an app
Downloadable activities for teachers and parents to share with their kids
Timescales:
Launch in September- assume you're starting in June (when you are taking the paper)
Milestones:
Ideas and development stage: brainstorming, blue sky thinking, PEST, SWOT. Using the pre-existing character 'Drippy Drop' to keep consistency
Research: think through/ research legal and ethical issues
Plan content (pre-production): for multi-platforms including traditional advertising/ billboards/ audio-visual content- storyboard, script, shot list, drawing, concept art.
Plan the question:
Milestones- creating a storyboard will allow you to understand how the narrative will flow and can help understand the character better. Furthermore, you can decide the camera angles used as well as the time of each clip which will work best at allowing your young target audience to explore and understand the narrative and character.
Additionally, you can research potential legal and ethical issues which could arise to ensure you have appropriate contingencies in case but also avoid using anything which could risk arising these issues.
Content- Facebook page for parents and teachers who could be interested in the web series for their kids.
Sponsor Worchester water- promote the web series by mentioning it on the label of the water bottle.
Sponsor Worchester council- event in the park with a mascot and posters to promotes the new web series
Pop up ads on homework websites and school platforms: Hegarty maths, timetable rockstars
